The Story So Far
I dreamed about owning a creative studio for years before it became a reality.
But like many, I convinced myself it wasn't realistic. I listened to negative opinions, stayed stuck in the 9 to 5 mindset, and kept telling myself that I wasn't the type of person who could actually make it work.
I was quieter than most and scared to put myself out there. But I could never shake the feeling that there had to be more to life than dreading Mondays and burning out in a job with no real opportunities.
After 12 years of corporate, I finally made my dream a reality.
That's the dreamy version anyway. The truth is it took two years to launch the studio, and over ten years of dreaming and side hustles. I did graphic design for local businesses alongside my full time gig. I also did portrait art commissions, made products on Etsy, and even launched a fashion boutique. It wasn't until I was making a website for the shop that it pushed me to turn it into a career.
So I spent two years learning everything I could about websites and marketing and let perfectionism and fear hold me back for way too long. But when I did finally launch, I went all in from day one.
With a strong brand and website, I really did land my first client in three days and made 3x my corporate salary in my first year.
Not one for social media, my website has been my best marketing tool, my portfolio, my sales machine, and the place that has turned strangers into paying clients.
Running a business has been completely life changing. It took me from the quietest in the office to someone who confidently meets and works with business owners all over the world. And that still blows my mind sometimes.
My experience is also why I care so much about the work I do. Because I know the power of a great website. I know what believing in yourself can do. And I know how transformative it can be when your business finally starts working for you.
And if I could build this life for myself, you can absolutely build the business you're dreaming about too.
I launched my studio, landed my first client in just three days, and haven't looked back.

One day I might be camping with my dogs, listening to the waves, watching the sunset, and dreaming up my next creative idea. The next, I could be in full glam and heading to a festival, music event, or comedy night.
People are often surprised when I tell them I love camping and vanlife (I'd live in my van if I could!). I don't have 'the look' apparently. But just know I have a full off-grid setup that powers both my laptop and my curling irons. 😉
See, I've never really fit into one box. And I don't think anyone should. I love being spontaneous and following what feels exciting. Exploring all the different sides of who I am. Chilled introvert and fun party girl. Creative heart and tech nerd.
That same energy reflects in my work too. I help people create a vision and strategy that feels right for them, rather than forcing them to do what everyone else is doing.
Because when you show up authentically, clear on exactly who you are and what you want out of your business, that's when the magic happens!
When I’m not working, you'll find me by the coast in my camper, or in the city listening to live music and sipping on a cocktail. 🍸
