I want this!

So, you’ve taken the leap and crafted your Facebook ad. Great job! But there’s another crucial step waiting: installing your Facebook Pixel. Now, if just hearing that term makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a tech maze, you’re not alone.

The world of tech and websites can feel like it’s speaking an entirely different language sometimes, right? All these terms, codes, and platforms—it’s enough to make anyone’s head spin. Especially when you’d rather focus on what you’re truly passionate about, instead of wrestling with tech that’s way outside your zone of genius.

But here’s the good news: we’ve got your back. Think of us as your trust partners who have been down this road before and are here to give you the lowdown, minus the tech jargon.

So, grab a coffee (or tea, if that’s your jam), and let’s tackle the Facebook Pixel for your Showit website, shall we?

What’s a Facebook Pixel, Anyway?

Imagine it as a bridge between your website and Facebook. This bridge allows Facebook to “see” the actions taken by users on your site, from which products they viewed, which pages they spent the most time on, to the items they added to their cart or purchased. Think of it like a digital detective, quietly keeping tabs on what your website visitors are up to. From window shopping to hitting that ‘contact’ button, it’s got an eye on everything.

Why It’s a Game-Changer:

  1. Data-Driven Decisions: The pixel provides insights into how users interact with your website after clicking on your Facebook ad. This data is invaluable for understanding your audience’s behavior and preferences.
  2. Retargeting: Ever browsed a product online and then seen ads for that exact product on Facebook later? That’s the pixel at work. It allows you to show targeted ads to users who’ve visited your site, ensuring your brand stays top-of-mind.
  3. Optimize Ad Spend: By understanding which ads drive conversions and which don’t, you can allocate your budget more effectively, ensuring a higher return on investment.
  4. Conversion Tracking: The pixel allows you to see how well your ads are performing by tracking actions (conversions) users take on your site, like signing up for a newsletter or making a purchase.

Setting Up the Facebook Pixel on Showit:

1. Start with Facebook Business Manager

  • If you’re new to this, head to business.facebook.com and set up your Facebook Business Manager account.
  • Add your business details as prompted.

2. Dive Deeper into Business Manager

  • Open ‘Business Settings’.
  • In ‘Accounts’, link your Facebook Page and Ad Account.
  • Under ‘Data Sources’, link your Facebook pixel to your Ad Account.

3. Create Your Pixel

  • In Business Manager, navigate to ‘Pixels’ under ‘All Tools’ > ‘Events Manager’.
  • Click ‘Add Data Source’ for a new pixel or ‘Set-Up’ for an existing one.

4. Bring It to Showit

  • After crafting your pixel, you’ll get a code. Keep it handy.
  • On your Showit dashboard, locate ‘Custom Head HTML’ under advanced settings for the page you’re focusing on.
  • Paste the code. Do this for every page you want insights on.

5. Test It Out

  • Head back to Facebook and choose ‘Send Test Traffic’. This ensures your pixel is working seamlessly.
